Foundation Year Certificate Ceremony for FY first promotion of the University of Management and Economic was held on 19 Sept 2008 at UME Pursat campus in the morning at 8:30. It was held under the president, Tun Pheakdey and MBA Men Sithy,Director of UME Pursat Province
The president, Tun Pheadkey was warmly welcomed to the honored guests and gave a statement about the developing phase of UME under the strict control of Accreditation Committee of Cambodia and Ministry of Youth and Sports. President, Pheakdey stated that Foundation Year is the first step of new progam given to foundation students which is conducted by the Department of Foundation Year Program on behalf of the University of Management and Economics. He added that the Foundation Year Program allows both first and second semester entry to undergraduate courses at the University of Management and Economics and other universities within Cambodia. Moreover, The University of Management and Economics Foundation Year Program has established a record of successful university entry with over 90% of students gaining entry into undergraduate courses at the University of Management and Economic and other Cambodian institutions.
Mr. King Chanroeun, vice president in charge of Academic was giving a whole report of UME to the meeting and the result of Foundation Year achievement in the first generation 2006.
